This was the second mystery I've read for this topic. I have not gotten lucky. I like a good mystery novel too. This book was the first in a series. I liked the premise of the book (small town filled with specialty book shops) and I liked the cat (Miss Maple). That was about it. I didn't really get into the characters. There is a line between quirky and fun and quirky and annoying and I thought she crossed it. In order to get into a series I feel you really have to like the characters. The couple of people that showed some promise weren't developed that much. (Maybe she's saving that for the upcoming books.) I don't think I'll be reading the next one.
